Gingival Barrier

A gingival barrier is a special resin used during teeth whitening to protect the gums from the bleaching gel. It comes in a black syringe to keep it from hardening before use. When exposed to UV or blue LED light, the resin hardens and forms a protective shield around the gums. This allows the whitening gel to only affect the teeth.
